2 Pack - Drawing Digital

With the 2 Pack, you'll walk away with several digital drawing techniques and a solid foundation in how to draw using a tablet.

We’ll begin with an overview of classical Western drawing principles, then dive into the Autodesk Sketchbook interface, exploring digital pencils and tools.

You’ll learn:

  • How to draw on a tablet using the same software industrial designers use.

  • The basics of constructive drawing, focusing on breaking down forms into simple shapes like spheres, cubes and cylinders.

  • How to draw from photo references.

  • How to simulate traditional drawing materials—like charcoal, smudge sticks, and kneaded erasers—using Apple Pencil’s pressure sensitivity and pencil simulation features.

  • How to create a grayscale value scale digitally and apply value to these basic forms to build depth and dimension in your sketches.

4 Pack - Drawing Digital

This 4 Pack offers a comprehensive learning experience where you'll engage in a series of studies culminating in a multi-step digital drawing project. Through this process, you'll develop a solid foundation in tablet-based drawing techniques.

Expanding on introductory skills, you will delve into the nuances of pencil simulation and pressure sensitivity with the Apple Pencil. You’ll discover how to digitally emulate traditional media like charcoal and smudge sticks, alongside learning to navigate and customize additional digital tools.

In addition, you will:

  • Gain essential skills for observational drawing from photographic references.

  • Move from initial gesture and block-in methods to using fundamental shapes such as spheres, cubes and cylinders.

  • Explore classical proportion systems and their digital application within Autodesk Sketchbook using guides and layers.

  • Learn principles of classical composition, including the Rule of Thirds and the Golden Ratio.

  • Expand on value scale creation and application methods  to build dimension in the digital medium.

  • Gain practice utilizing thumbnails and value studies to effectively plan your visual layout.

8 Pack - Drawing Digital

Whether you're a beginner or an advanced artist, the 8 Pack is designed as a structured course to professionally guide you through at least two distinct digital drawing projects. It also includes a bonus final project review.

In the 8 Pack, you'll gain all the content from the 4 Pack structured in five key areas:

1. Planning your current project or reviewing its progress.

2. Warming up with brief drawing exercises to get into the creative flow.

3. Demonstration and targeted feedback to improve skill level.

4. Addressing methods, techniques, or approaches with Autodesk software.

5. Defining next steps.

You'll also have the opportunity to troubleshoot hardware or software issues, ensuring you feel confident and supported throughout your digital drawing journey.
