Hip Pop Art

Hip Pop Art is a movement spearheaded  by Rock Jackson in 2004 to document the impact of Hip Hop as culture on pop culture. One of the ways it does this is by documenting the founders, innovators & contributors of this influential global culture.

"As a contributor to Hip Hop culture my aim is to develop a catalogue of images to document & preserve its history. As hip hop matures public awareness of its roots is falling into obscurity.” Says Jackson.  This is why he has set out to create distinct imagery that celebrates the culture and serves as a physical record.

His "Angels of Hip Hop" series focuses on celebrating & archiving those no longer physically with us. The "Hip Hop Innovators" series aims to give the creators of the culture their flowers while they are still alive.
