Art

Rock Jackson is a visual Hip Hop artist who has been exhibiting internationally for over two decades. His first documented mural is featured in the book Miami Graffiti Art by H. Love and was completed under the tag “RA” while he was still attending the New World School of the Arts in 1989. After graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art, he spearheaded the Hip Pop Art movement that documents the impact of Hip Hop on popular culture in 2004. His work was recently featured in the Art Basel Miami exhibit Making Miami, which tells the story of Miami artists who lived and worked in the city between 1996—2012 and who built the foundation of the modern Miami we know today. Jackson’s work has been acquired by the Miami-Dade Public Library, Perez Art Museum and the David C. Driskel Center at University of Maryland at College Park Permanent Collections.
