Overview
Dominant Parallel is a transmedia storytelling company built on a singular premise: that original IP deserves an ecosystem as ambitious as the worlds it inhabits. From the ground up, I co-led the development of a brand identity and creative infrastructure capable of supporting multiple narrative universes across sequential art, animation, and interactive platforms. The entire ecosystem is bound together by a proprietary engine that transforms passive audiences into active participants and seamlessly converts story engagement into commerce.
The Challenge
Most transmedia ventures struggle with fragmentation. Visual languages drift between formats, production pipelines fail to scale, and platforms feel bolted together rather than built with intent. Dominant Parallel needed more than a brand. It needed a living system capable of holding complex fictional worlds, introducing audiences to new IPs with immediacy, delivering story experiences across mediums without losing fidelity, and unifying every touchpoint under a single coherent engagement and commerce architecture.
The Ecosystem

Gamification Engine & Immersive eCommerce Layer
At the core of the Dominant Parallel ecosystem sits iGLASE, a proprietary middleware that serves a dual purpose: powering audience gamification across every format while functioning as the ecosystem's immersive e-commerce layer. Rather than treating engagement and commerce as separate systems, iGLASE was conceived as the connective tissue that fuses them. It is the engine that transforms ePICs, eCELs, and eSKY into a unified, reward-driven story experience where discovery, desire, and purchase flow naturally from narrative immersion. Interaction mechanics, progression systems, and commerce touchpoints were all designed in direct dialogue with the brand and narrative systems, ensuring that both engagement and transaction always serve the story rather than interrupt it. iGLASE is what makes the Dominant Parallel ecosystem greater than the sum of its parts and what makes it a commercially viable universe unto itself.

The Platform
eSKY is the platform that unifies the ecosystem, the environment where ePICs are experienced, eCELs are delivered, and audiences engage with the full breadth of the Dominant Parallel universe. UX/UI design for eSKY was guided by a core principle: the platform should disappear into the story. Interface decisions, navigation architecture, and visual design language were all subordinated to immersion, ensuring that the technology serves the narrative rather than competing with it. The design system built for eSKY provides a scalable component library that supports ongoing IP expansion without sacrificing consistency and a gamification framework that connects ePIC and eCEL engagement into a unified audience experience.

Gamified Sequential Art
ePICs are the entry point into each Dominant Parallel IP. Designed as gamified, narrative-driven sequential image experiences, they introduce characters, worlds, and lore in a format that rewards engagement. Each ePIC is architected at the intersection of comics craft and interactive design compositions built for motion potential, color systems tied to narrative tone, and visual pacing calibrated to pull readers deeper into the story world. The art direction establishes the aesthetic DNA of each IP, creating a foundation that every downstream format can build from.

Gamified Animation
eCELs are the animated counterpart to ePICs and like their sequential art siblings, they are fully gamified. Rather than passive viewing experiences, eCELs are designed as interactive animated narratives where audience engagement is built into the format itself. Gamification mechanics are woven into the motion and storytelling structure, transforming animation from a one-way broadcast into an active story experience that deepens investment in each IP. Asset architecture, character design systems, and environmental frameworks were developed in direct continuity with the ePIC visual language, ensuring that the leap from still to moving image feels like a natural story progression rather than a format shift, while the layered gamification rewards audiences who engage across both formats.

Brand System
Underpinning all four pillars is a brand ecosystem built for longevity and flexibility. The Dominant Parallel visual identity was developed to function as a master brand, strong enough to anchor the studio's authority and flexible enough to allow each IP its own distinct visual personality. Typography, color philosophy, iconography, and motion principles were codified into a living design system that evolves alongside the company while maintaining a clear, unified creative vision. iGLASE interaction and commerce design principles were embedded directly into the brand standards, ensuring gamification, immersive shopping, and visual identity speak the same language.
Production Methodology
One of the defining contributions of this engagement was the development of a proprietary production methodology. This framework maps the creative journey from world-building concept through ePIC, eCEL, and eSKY delivery, with iGLASE gamification and commerce architecture integrated at every stage. The methodology was designed to be repeatable and scalable, enabling the studio to onboard new IPs without reinventing process while preserving the creative depth and craft that defines Dominant Parallel's output.

Illustration
Caffeine is a sci-fi animated series I created, wrote, designed, and illustrated as an original IP under Dominant Parallel. The project became a laboratory for a defining an illustration philosophy for 2D animation in 3D environments: the deliberate removal of the line. Rather than relying on outlines to define form, I developed a design economy built on primary and secondary shadow to accentuate character volume and presence in three-dimensional space. The result is a visual language where shape, light, and depth do the work minimally, characters that look flat yet feel sculptural, weighted, and inhabit space in their world.
